LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (APRIL 2005): International award-winning guitar virtuoso, Marino De Silva, Founder and President of the Angels On Earth Foundation, brings together the rock community with the release of “ANGELS ACROSS AMERICA”, in proud support of our Troops. This incredible CD features the platinum voices of Chicago, Santana and Three Dog Night, with special guest appearances from Bonnie Raitt and Steve Vai. The CD also includes a host of Grammy-winning artists, writers and producers including Ron Nevison (Led Zeppelin, The Who, Bad Company, Heart, Ozzy Osbourne), Keith Olsen (Santana, Journey, Fleetwood Mac, Pat Benatar, The Eagles) and Alan Abrahams (Hall & Oates, Bonnie Raitt, Dolly Parton).

“Americans are always so generously ready to lend a hand to those in need in far away places… I’m hoping that we can bring more attention and relief to the men and women who are our neighbors and friends who have sacrificed so much over the past two years” said Marino. He continued, “The men and women in the armed forces are the Heroes who fight each and every day for our safety and freedom. We all stand in awe at their bravery, their courage and commitment. I want them to know that they can always count on our support.”

In 2002, Carvin Guitars presented Marino with an award to honor his "Guitars For Freedom" album. The award was "in recognition of his contribution to the families of the September 11 tragedy." The album featured unreleased tracks from Jimi Hendrix and Santana, and from some of the world's greatest guitarists. Marino brought the entire guitar community together for this multi-award winning album, which was widely recognized as the most creative compilation CD released to benefit the 9-11 charities.

Marino produced Angels Across America in 2005 in proud support of our Troops, and is working alongside Homes For Our Troops, Freedom Calls and Soldier’s Angels to help improve the quality of life for our soldiers fighting the war, and when returning home from active duty. The CD is now available exclusively online at… www.angelsacrossamerica.org

Quote of the Day
I have been up to see the Congress and they do not seem to be able to do anything except to eat peanuts and chew tobacco, while my army is starving.
