
PERSIAN GULF (May 12, 2007) - Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Equipment) 3rd Class Trevino Crowder directs flight deck personnel working together to rig the aircraft barricade aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74). The barricade is used to help recover aircraft during emergency situations. The John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group is on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of Maritime Security Operations (MSO). MSO help set the conditions for security and stability, as well as aid counter-terrorism and security efforts to the regional nations.
