Things that Make You Go 'Hmmm....'

Ya think this dude might have had some issues? I'm surprised though - it looks like making certain weapons illegal doesn't keep criminals from having them (odd, isn't it?)

NORCO, Calif. - A man whose ammunition and weapons stockpiles were discovered when authorities responded to a fire at his home has been arrested, authorities said Saturday. Video
Thomas McKiernan, 62, was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center Friday afternoon on charges of possession of assault weapons, possession of illegal ammunition and possession of explosives, Riverside County Sheriff's Investigator Jerry Franchville said.

Deputies first stumbled onto the cache late Thursday afternoon after responding to a request for help from Norco firefighters trying to contain an attic fire at the residence, Franchville said.

Authorities seized more than 1 million rounds of ammunition, about 60 guns and rifles and about 75 pounds of black ammunition powder following an extensive search of the property in the 1800 block of Pali Drive, the investigator said.


In addition to the guns and ammo, Riverside County Sheriff's Deputy Juan Zamora said there were barrels containing water, rice, and cooking oil under the house...
