Warbird in Flight
A 23rd Expeditionary Bomb Squadron B-52 Stratofortress departs on a counter-sea training mission during one of the final sorties of a five-month deployment to Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Jan. 15. The counter-sea exercise concluded a five-month deployment to Andersen AFB in which the 23rd EBS flew over 200 missions, logged nearly 1,600 hours and dropped 750 munitions. The B-52s were at Andersen promoting regional security and preserving regional stability while providing the U.S. Pacific Command commander a continuous bomber presence in the region.
