With the Fairness in Broadcasting bill (now aimed largely at weakening the effectiveness of talk radio) once again hanging like the sword of Damocles, the Libs are apparently feeling more confident. They've already tried to say bloggers aren't protected by First Amendment rights (an excellent explanation of why we clearly are is here).

A smear campaign by liberal bloggers is currently underway to silence the conservative opinions offered by myself and other conservative talk radio hosts at one of the highest-rated conservative talk radio stations in the nation. (KSFO 560 AM).

It began when one liberal blogger tried to get us fired. When that didn’t work he began an anonymous campaign to intimidate advertisers to not support “hate speech.”

Now liberal bloggers are calling for our firing. They are also pushing for implication of the Fairness Doctrine to force liberal radio programming down the public’s throat. (They tried to compete in the free market with “Air America” and that failed miserably, so now they are
using these tactics to silence conservative radio voices).

*ACTION ITEM: To respond to growing pressure from these ruthless liberal bloggers and political activists to silence us, we are going to do something unprecedented. We are opening up our airwaves, cancelling our normal programming and having an open forum where the public, news media, bloggers, critics and friends alike can call in and address any issues surrounding this matter.

I am asking you to call in and voice your support!

A final note…

I want you to know the lengths these people are going to smear us and to try to silence us. They’ve gotten reporters to say that I’ve called for targeting Nancy Pelosi for assassination because of the following comment.

Should this scare you? You bet. With the Dems in power, and the far Left apparently behind the wheel, we should all be concerned about where this is going. I never cease to be amazed at how zealous those who supposedly stand for civil rights are about taking full advantage of their own - and trying to quash those of their opponents.

And don't forget - the so-called "Progressives" are merely repackaged Socialists; many sound more like - or are - truly Communists.

And in any Communist takeover, what's one of the first things that happens? Silence independent media. The so-called "Communist Rules to Revolution" have been debunked, but given what's been going on lately, I wonder if the Left knows that? Whether they're actual rules or not, this is a pretty clear progression of how a takeover would happen - and has happened.

1. Corrupt the young; get them away from religion. Get them interested in sex. Make them superficial; destroy their ruggedness.

2. Get control of all means of publicity, thereby:

3. Get people's minds off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books, plays and immoral movies.

4. Divide the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance.

5. Destroy the people's faith in their natural leaders by holding the latter up to contempt, ridicule and disgrace.

6. Always preach true democracy, but seize power as fast and as ruthlessly as possible.

7. By encouraging government extravagance, destroy its credit, produce years of inflation with rising prices and general discontent.

8. Incite unnecessary strikes in vital industries, encourage civil disorders and foster a lenient and soft attitude on the part of government toward such disorders.

9. Cause breakdown of the old moral values - honesty, sobriety, self-restraint, faith in the pledged word, ruggedness.

10. Cause the registration of all firearms on some pretext, with a view to confiscate them and leaving the populace helpless.



Am I paranoid? Maybe.

But then again, maybe not. (And just 'cause I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're NOT out to get me!)

I'm not saying "The Commies are coming!" But let's face it: Liberalism is one of the most destructive ideologies out there. And the farther Left we allow our country to drift, the more trouble we're in for.
