Colorado Springs, Colorado: A coalition of organizations in Colorado Springs including The American Legion, VFW, The Military Affairs Division of the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, Intermountain Coach and the nationally broadcast Talking with Heroes Talk Show announces Back from the Fronts for 2:00pm (mst) on June 4, 2006 at the City Auditorium 221 East Kiowa Street Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The purpose of Back from the Fronts is to thank all of our military personnel in the area for their service to our country. A limited number of Free Tickets will be available military personnel at all the bases in Colorado Springs and for Veterans. There will be an announcement at the event on how many tens of thousands in Colorado Springs will be able to see an edited version of this event at a later date.

The first hour of this June 4th event will have speakers making statements of support and thanks for our military personnel.

Speakers include Vice-Mayor of Colorado Springs Larry Small, El Paso County Commissioner District 3 Sallie Clark, American Legion State Department Commander J. R. "Jim" Kent, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary President Department of Colorado Sue Patterson, Colorado VFW State Senior Vice Commander Earl J. Havens, State President Department of Colorado VFW Ladies Auxiliary Patricia Garcia, President of the Military Affairs Division of the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce Brian Binn, Director of Public Relations/Media, Adelphia Cable and Elected Public Official, School District 11 Board of Directors, Sandra Mann.

The second hour of Back from the Fronts will have three entertainers: Kenny Giordano will begin the entertainment part of this event and sing On Your Birthday” (Light a Candle). Norsia Harrison, a former soldier himself will sing "Say a Prayer for the Soldiers" and other Support Our Troops songs. Also returning to Colorado Springs will be Mr. Elliott James singing "The Eagle" and Other Songs. Elliott James was one of the entertainers at last years July 3rd concert at Ft Carson's Iron Horse Park.

Back from the Fronts will air LIVE Globally on the Nationally Broadcast Talking with Heroes Talk Show with HOST Bob Calvert. Talking with Heroes is a talk show that started from Colorado Springs in Dec. 2005. Talking with Heroes is not about politics. Each week Military Personnel share their stories of helping the people in Iraq, Afghanistan and other areas of the world where our military serve. Other guests are from organizations like the VFW and American Legion, companies, entertainers like Charlie Daniels, and others who talk about what they do to support our troops. Military Personnel are listening in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Back from the Fronts is part of a national campaign by many veterans, military support groups, companies and organizations across the country to go beyond politics and send a clear message to our troops and their families that we in American thank them for their sacrifices and their service.
