Singing to Support Our Troops

Added to my growing list of musicians with songs supporting our Heroes is Alexandra Lajoux:

Thank you for assembling such an inspiring site.

I'm Alexandra Lajoux, composer, singer, and lead producer of the song "We Thank You." It is a song in honor of our soldiers. The song begins with simple guitar and voice (mine - I sound like Joan Baez but disagree with her politics). Then it builds to a symphony and many voices and instruments, including an Air Force trumpet.

Please visit my website to hear the song.

Here are some of the other folks I've listed:
Kory Brunson
- You can check out his song, "We Know You're Out There," and download it free, at his site.

Cliff Knizley - the musician who, inspired by Mark Miner of Boots in Baghdad, has created “Letters to Baghdad - a tribute to our troops.” If you haven’t ordered the CD yet, you can listen to samples and order the CD at Cliff’s site (make sure you have an updated Flash Player). Proceeds benefit charities that help our Heroes and their families. And Cliff is offering a special discount to all Soldiers’ Angels - email me for details.

The Right Brothers - “Half Her Heart” -- The Right Brothers, conservative musicians, have done this touching tribute to our Heroes and their spouses. It’s wonderful, and you can download it here.

Billy Lash and No JustUS - “Ordinary Days” -- If you’re a Soldiers’ Angel, or involved in another organization that sends letters to our troops, this is one you definitely want to hear. Make sure to peruse their other stuff.

Toni Becker - “Duty Calls” -- Toni and her husband wrote this song. Some of the lyrics - “But then the world turned a corner on a cold September morning / I hear the cry of a soldier! / Duty Calls. I'm on my way. / I'd stand between you and the enemy any day. / Duty Calls. I will defend / The honor of my nation, family, and friends.” Another great one. You can listen and download it here.

UPDATE #1: Patti reminded me there are also the following (and other artists) listed at the Soldiers' Angels site: Renegade Rail
Adams Attic
Ricky Lee

UPDATE #2: Cliff Knizley has extended his 2-for-1 Valentine's special indefinitely for all members of Soldiers' Angels - email me to get the code to use when ordering. Cliff has also added an HTML site at the same URL for those of you who have problems viewing his Flash site.
