Media that Gets It

On Wednesday, I posted about a foiled terror attack plot that has gone largely unnoticed in the media.

Over at the Marietta (GA) Journal Online, there's one woman who noticed - Laura Armstrong.

Foiled terror plot fails to make news

We've all heard of Abu Ghraib, but how many of us know of Salman Pak?

As I suspected: Hardly any.

How about the major terrorist plot to attack U.S. stadiums, ships and railway stations uncovered by Italian authorities (using wiretaps) nine weeks ago for which three Algerians await trial on conspiracy and terrorism charges?

We likely haven't heard that either, unless we traveled recently to London or other world cities where it was front-page news.

In England, the Sunday Times' headline was "U.S. terror attacks foiled." In France, Agence France Presse proclaimed, "Three Algerians arrested in Italy over plot targeting U.S."
