Red Fridays

Sent by a Soldier...

Many of you tell me that all you see on T.V. is death and destruction. You never see anything good about the war or the soldiers. WELL, HERE'S YOUR CHANCE! Wear Red!!! Wear Red!!! Wear Red!!! Fight the media by showing your pride and support. We spend countless hours sending jokes to one another over the Internet, take the time to research the changes and improvements that have occurred in Iraq. There are so many web sites that give you an opportunity to contact a soldier. We, the soldiers, say..."Don't listen to the media, listen to me"!!! Contact a soldier and share in his experiences.

It only takes one. Once it starts, it can't be stopped. It can be a lot of fun, too.

You can wear his and hers RED shirts/tops and even take that couples photo you've been trying to get done.

You can wear RED jewelry.

You can go to dinner and drink RED wine.

You can buy your significant other RED roses.

You can buy a RED car.

You can wear RED shoes (Ladies, Christmas/New Years).

You can use RED wrapping paper and RED bows.

You can wear small RED ribbons.

You can put BIG RED ribbons around your home or at work.

And if you don't have any of these things, you can go SHOPPING for them.

These are just a few ideas, but it takes one to start.

At the end it says..."What can we do to make things better for you"? A soldiers answer, what I've been saying since day one..."We need your Support and your prayers"!!! By wearing RED, you're supporting us. By wearing RED, you're thinking
about us, henceforth, "The thought of prayer is prayer in it self".

RED FRIDAYS ----- Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the "silent majority". We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterous or over-bearing. We get no liberal media coverage on TV, to reflect our message or our opinions.

Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops. Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday -and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that...

Every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar will wear something red.

By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers.

If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, co-workers, friends, and family. It will not be long before the USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once "silent" majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more than the media lets on.

The first thing a soldier says when asked "What can we do to make things better for you?" is...We need your support and your prayers. Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example; and wear some thing red every Friday.
