Spc. Rene Abelar, from the 1st Armored Division, mans a .50-caliber machine gun atop his 5-ton truck northwest of Baghdad. Abelar's unit, with assistance from Iraqi forces and Aviation Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, captured a team of bomb makers in the act of building a car bomb. This photo appeared on www.army.mil.
