These messages are from books that Willie and the Soldiers' Angels put together for wounded heroes in Landstuhl. Some messages are for all of our Heroes.
Unfortunately, the blogger was being a bit temperamental over the last couple of days, so I'm unable right now to post all the pictures Willie sent. I'll try to get them up in the next few days' posts.
1 book was delivered to the Fisher House, and 4 are at Kleber Barracks.
Happy Birthday to the U.S.A. Still looking good I must say
Past two-hundred and going strong. My country, right or wrong
I still salute the flag. And stand when the anthem plays
I am proud to say I'm an American. And proud of the U.S.A.
Dear Wounded military in Landstuhl
We want you to know that you are in our prayers. Freedom demands a big cost and you are paying so much for it.
Thank you for serving our great USA and helping bring freedom to other parts of the world. We greatly appreciate your sacrifices.

To Our Soldiers:
I am writing to you from Ocala, Florida with love and words of encouragement. I am so proud of all of you over there. I know it is hard. But just remember that all of America appreciates what you are doing. We couldn't be the great country that we are without what you are doing for us. My father served in Vietnam twice. I recently lost both of my parents (within two and a half months of each other). I miss them terribly. I remember my father telling me stories of how unappreciated he and others felt. Our country did not show them the respect that was due them. I remember the pain in my dad's eyes when he talked about serving in Vietnam. Now it is not that way. Thank God! We do appreciate what you are doing for us. You are our heroes!!! You are respected and adored by all of America!
When you are feeling down in the dumps, just remember how much we care! If there is anything I can get do to help you during your time away from home, just let me know. You can go to my website and find our how we are helping the soldiers overseas. Then just send me an email and I'll get back in touch with you right away.
Take care and God Bless,

Thank you! Your sacrifice and courage is a true inspiration and gives us such pride. As Flag Day and Fourth of July approach this year, I am reminded of what you are fighting for. As I look at our American Flag or I hear the National Anthem played at many events this time of year, I hold my hand over my heart proudly and shed a tear for those who have paid the ultimate price for us to have the many freedoms we all enjoy. That flag stands for our freedom, our absolute joys and decisions not censored by any government. What a privelege! It is because of YOU that we enjoy these and others in the world will one day also. I pray they will achieve that soon. You are in our prayers as you recover and know that you and what you are going through will not be forgotten.

Happy 4th of July from Berlin, Germany
Hey guys! This is to send to all of you a BIG HELLO and GET WELL from Berlin to Landstuhl. Yes - that's right - there are even Angels in Berlin, Germany! Didn't expect that I bet. I am supporting a squad of B co 1/24th Inf. Rgt. SBCT and I am really thankful that Willie gives me -and everybody else- the opportunity to let YOU guys know, my heart goes out to you wishing you the very best and a speedy recovery. You guys are the best.I want you to keep your heads up, concentrate on recovering and always try to think positive. There is always a reason for why things happen, people we meet, places we go to - I truly believe in that. We won't know in the beginning what sense things make but as time goes by and as we keep our hearts and minds open we will indeed find answers to our questions. Trust in that - always. Also I urge you to trust in your very own abilities and strength - we allhave a tremendous amount of strength in us -you just don't know yet. But this strength is there, deep inside of you and it will help you to solveand live through anything that comes up in the future! I know that!
We owe you so much, there are no words to express how grateful I am for youall to go out there, willing to put your life on the line day by day. And today you are paying a price, that we - "ordinary citiziens" - will never beable to pay you back. This book right here is only one small way to expressour lasting gratitude to you. Always remember - you are not left alone inthe journey that lies ahead of you. Families and friends will be by yourside and support you, strangers - like me - do and institution like theSoldier's Angels look out for you, lobbying for your causes even in D. C.! You will be doing ok, there is no doubt in my mind. Take very good care of yourselves and EACH OTHER, look out for your buddy, never walk alone - just like you did in the field - he needs you. I do hope that you will have the chance to celebrate this 4th of July insome small way. Remember you are always thought of and prayed for by family and friends!
Lots of love

Dear Hero
I'm Anna 27 year Swedish living in Sweden. I just wanna share my thoughts about why I support the troops. And say THANK YOU for all you do. I started my troopsupport in Dec 2002 I tripped on a yahooprofile for a marine and he had his addy on and I wrote him a TY mail. He wrote back and was so appreciative that someone wrote him. In same round I got invited to join a yahoo militarysupportgroup. I joined and bumped into a WONDERFUL lady named Kim Busch. I haven't met anyone then Patti founder of SA that do so much for the troops.
She showed a TY snailmail she got from a soldier and I thought...you can snailmail troops? Thats GREAT I wanna do that too. So I asked her for some addys and since then I been writing the troops. It took a while before I got replies but after my first TY Email I got I was STUCK. My heart just melted and I thougt I have to keep write the troops it mean the world to them.So ever since I been kept writing to the troops and I LOVE it. I been writing 400 so far but as long there is a soldier needing an Angel I will be there. NO MATTER what. My Swedish friends think I'm weird... LOL and maybe I am but I'm weird being an angel I WANNA be weird... It's NOT popular writing the troops in Sweden so far of all 9 millions here I'm the only one writing. I tried and tried getting friends and other involved but it's just cold no thanks. It makes me feel down I wish they know how wonderful the heros are and how WONDERFUL it feels to receive a TY from the ones you write. I have US flagpin that I wear on my jacket everywhere I go people give me "looks" but I won't take it off NEVER. The heros die for that flag and it's my RIGHT to wear it.
I even been called racist and had a women spit after me.... But I don't care at all I will continue support my heros as long there is a war and as long they need. My friends sees me with my letters and says Why do you waste money on that? You don't have much money. Have you forgot you are not an American? Why do you care? Then I say as Demi Moore in the movie A few Good Men. Cause these guys stands on the walls taking the bullets for us. They watch our backs and make sure we all are free. They guarding us at morning when we go to work, at afternoon when we go home and at nights they watch so we can go to sleep without being scared. I remind my friends about WW2 and says.. What kind of world would we have without those soldier who fought against Hitler, Mussolini and the Japanese?
Not a world I would want to live in. So even I'm Swedish I truly care about the troops and love them with ALL my heart. They are my heros and even I'm the only one in Sweden supporting them they should know there is at least one in Sweden saying TY and well done hero.
Without the troops I wouldn't have the freedom to write this, so THANK YOU troops TY for all you do. You guys are the BEST. Have a HAPPY BLESSED 4thh July it's cause of YOU we can celebrate it.

America has been hit hard
Crippled some people would say
Let's all pull together
This special Independence Day
Make new friends with a stranger
Help someone who is in need
Keep our nation from danger
Pray God will let our leaders succeed
Write letters to the soldiers
That are fighting for You and I
Thank them for guarding our country
So our freedom won't die
Spend time with your family
Because time sure does fly
God bless You and America
Happy Fourth of July.

What makes a nation's pillars high
And its foundations strong?
What makes it mighty to defy
The foes that round it throng?
Brave men who work while others sleep,
Who dare while others fly...
They build a nation's pillars deep
And lift them to the sky.

To All Our Troops:
Just wanted to say that America is so proud of all our Troops. You guys and gals are the greatest there ever was. Dear Service members,
Greetings from the Arizona desert where the sun shines bright, the coyotes, howl, jackrabbits hop, javelinas eat prickly pear cactus and the owls whooo that nest in nearby saguaros! Thanks for your bravery, courage, and honor. You do make a big difference in my life allowing me freedoms others are denied elsewhere in our world. I continue to send fan mail letters your way in an attempt to keep patriotism on a high level. You remain in my daily prayers. Thanks for the sacrifices you and your families make for mine.

To all our wonderful troops, I just want to remind you that you are still in our thoughts and prayers and that you are not forgotten. We still appreciate all that you do and have done for the U.S. and we are so proud of you. You made the decision to leave your home and family and go to some far off land to protect people you have not even met. That is a wonderful thing and something that could not have been easy for you to do. You have shown us your bravery, your patriotism and you are definitely our hero's.
Remember the USA backs you completely and we wait for your return home and hope it will be soon.

Soldier's Heart
I don't know your name or your face but I know your heart
Having been a soldier myself I have known that feeling well
Of laying down on a cot thinking of home in the dark
I don't know your name or your face but I know your thoughts
Hoping that this war will be over soon
Hoping that the cause you support is not forgot
I don't know your name or your face but I know your pain
The fear that the country you defend may not stand up for you
Just like you stood up for them when they called your name
I don't know your name or your face but I know your tears
The tears for the children of those less fortunate
The tears for your fallen comrades in these last few years
I don't know your name or your face but I know your screams
The ones you cry out at night when no one is watching
The ones that only you hear, in your cot when you dream
Do not fret young soldier you have nothing to fear
God is with you; he keeps you and never leaves you alone
No reason to worry when you have a whole country of angels behind you
Praying for you, thinking of you, and hoping for your safe return home
Do not be sad young soldier, many people care about your sacrifice
You are with them always in their thoughts
I am one of those people, so do not be lonely young soldier because
I don't know your name or your face...but I know your heart.

Hello from this wonderful country we call the United States. The greatest place in the world where we have the freedom to live our lives the way no other country is permitted to do so. The reason this is the greatest place on the planet to live is because of our great military men and women that sacrifice so much to make that way. Every American owes these men and women their total respect and gratitude. So as being one of those Americans I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you are doing for my country and my loved ones. God Bless you and your safety to return home to your families.

Thank you for all you do to keep us safe and free. We have not forgotten you and we keep you in our daily prayers.

The bravest and dearest of our land,
They do as is command,
Not so honored, not too plauded,
Deserve better than they get taunted
They shape, they cue, they crew and view,
Who astir, who confer?
Why don't we work like those wise shrewd sirs?
They scutter, we putter
They ponder, we wander
The coolest away, we pluckless play by our house
They're the hikers, joggers, walkers, climbers, and trekkers of prowess
They're soldiers, or our best

I just want to thank all of you so very much for what you are doing for all of us. You have given up so much for us. For that, we are truly grateful.
I live near Bangor Maine, where many of the troops returning home stop for re-fueling. We have had over 188,000 troops stop. I am very, very proud to be a part of this. To be able to shake your hand or even give you a hug and to just thank you in person is quite an honor.
Please take care and know that you are all in our hearts and prayers.

Thank you for all that you do to keep America free.
