Korean War Hero Finally Coming Home

PFC John Strom, from Minnesota, enlisted in the US Army in 1950 at the age of 17.

In September of 1950, PFC Strom went to Korea with D Company, 1/8 Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. In November, his unit was reportedly wiped out by Chinese soldiers. PFC Strom's body was not recovered, and he has been listed missing ever since. He was posthumously promoted to Corporal.
