Pacific Ocean, Calif. (Mar. 24, 2005) - The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) underway in the Pacific Ocean as it makes her way back to San Diego, Calif., after completing a two-week underway period. Nimitz and Carrier Strike Group Eleven (CSG-11) were conducting a Joint Task Force Training Exercise (JTFEX) off the coast of Southern California. Burgwald, Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224 ordnance technician and native of Hudsonville, Mich., records numbers off of ordnance for inventory prior to launch.
