US Army SPC Jacob Pfister lost his life Tuesday in a suicide bombing attack in Iraq. He and Pfc. Kevin S. K. Wessel of Oregon were killed when an IED went off near their dismounted patrol. Both served in the 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division.

SPC Pfister was from New York, and joined the Army a few weeks after 9/11. This was his second tour in Iraq. We featured a picture of SPC Pfister when he returned from his first tour there - you can see the picture here.

SPC Pfister's wife is due to have their baby in June. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
